Re: Data protection declaration according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Dear pet owners,

Due to the EU data protection regulation (GDPR) adopted by the decree of May 25, 2016 and the national data protection regulation that will come into force on May 25, 2018, I must inform you as a pet owner about the following changes based on the email address you provided.

I am legally obliged to save your data and that of your pet for years, in accordance with the legislature and the norms specified by it. I am also bound by confidentiality and the protection of your data is therefore very important to me.

Due to the legal basis for animal health practitioners, I am obliged to keep my index cards (with your data including the treatments) for at least 10 years. This means that your data can only be deleted after 10 years at the earliest. This does not include your data on mine, laptop, tablet, mobile phone and of course in the cloud.

I only use the email you have approved for services such as invoices, recipes or training plans if necessary.

Of course, it is possible to delete your email address at any time if you wish. If you would like this, please let me know in writing. I will then delete it immediately. You don't need to enter new customers on the questionnaire if you don't want me to use your email address.

Due to the statutory regulation, I am only allowed to delete or dispose of all other data 10 years after the last treatment.

Please be aware that I need this data for reasons of the history of your animal in order to be able to provide the best possible care for your animal and of course for you.
